About
Blake

Blake Carter is an artist working and living in the foot hills of Appalachia, located in North Georgia. He works primarily in clay, earning his Bachelor Degree in Fine Art of Sculpture and Ceramics from the University of North Georgia in 2026. Blake also Apprenticed at Mark of the Potter in Santee Nachoochee, Georgia for the year of 2025. Before returning to schoo to pursue three dimensional art, Mr. Carter headed two divisions for Lifetouch studios as the lead photographer of their Atlanta Headshot and Georgia Outdoor Studio divisions.

His work is inspired by the traditional Georgia folk work and his studies of Ancient Greek/Roman forms and methods. By pulling elements from both his roots and traditional historical masters, Blake is able to produce work unique to his own style.
